September 30, 2023 - Boil Water Notice for All Customers

Boil Water Notice

Due to the recent storm-related power outage, which occurred on September 29, 2023, the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water, the Butte County Health Department, and Durham Irrigation District are advising customers to only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution to avoid stomach or intestinal illness. The affected area includes the entire service area of Durham Irrigation District.

The District anticipate resolving the problem by Tuesday October 3, 2023. Please monitor this page website, social media or phone line for an update when tests show that the water is safe to drink. You can also sign up for an email update by joining the District mailing list.

10/03/2023 - 10:00 am - The District is awaiting test results and approval from the State Division of Drinking Water to lift the Boil Water Notice. Updates will be posted on the District website as soon as it receives this approval.

NOTE: On September 30, 2023 District customers were notified by a door hanger on the property.
